Chandresh A. Shah
Born in Gujarat and raised in Mumbai, schooled in Vile Parle and graduated in Chemistry from Bombay University in 1974. He found employment as a chemist and supervisor at Mercury Pharma where he made significant changes in the working environment of the packaging and production department bringing gains to the company.
He went to Nottingham UK to pursue Food Technology in the year 1975 and later attained a management degree from Strathclyde UK. As part of research work he got a unique opportunity to work in Zurich, Switzerland at the Swiss Federal Research Institute. In his youth he has travelled extensively in the African and Middle-eastern subcontinents since his father was posted in East Africa and Iran as a high-ranking official of a multinational company.
After completing his studies he returned back to India in 1980, settled in native city of Vadodara and began his association with the Indian food industry as he worked with the industrious Amin family where he worked as a factory manager of Vafa Agro foods a company canning mango pulp and dealing with many other products. There he was entrusted with Production, Marketing and New product development.
Shortly he left his flourishing carrier and ventured on the path of entrepreneurship to establish Bhanu products in 1983 in a single hall rented premises of 1200 sq.ft in small town called Padra for making household pickles.
As procuring food license took several months if not years during the license raj of the 90s he had a short stint of experience working as a technical consultant with Metal Box India (MBIL) at a unit situated near Mumbai engaged in making containers and closures for food industry.
In 1993 he laid foundation of Madhav Agro Foods Pvt Ltd near Padra engaged in manufacturing and export of various processed foods since, successfully earning him a distinction of supplying quality ethnic products like pickles, culinary pastes, chutneys since 1983.
Starting with humble beginnings and after successfully running the company for another 2 decades he played a pivotal role in setting up of Innovative Cuisines Pvt. Ltd a food firm exporting frozen vegetables to USA in the year 2007.
He has actively assisted and mentored numerous colleagues in food industry with R&D, process engineering, entrepreneurship and expansion over his illustrious journey in the food industry so far. He has active interests in food safety, food processing, project planning, management and implementation and training.
Recently with Gods grace and his hard work, dedication and determination he has initiated to establish a second unit in Karjan, Vadodara that will be made functional in 2018. He is an esteemed member of professional and social organizations such as All India Food Processors Association.
He is associated with the EXIM club a platform for many activities in the domain of trade and commerce especially export and import.
He has been also associated with academic institutions like the Food and Nutrition dept of, M.S. University (Baroda) and ADIT & AAU at Vallabh Vidhyanagar.
